Autumn Hampshire | Founder & Designer of Autumn Designs

I’m Autumn Hampshire, the heart and hands behind Autumn Designs. My love for jewelry making began in high school and grew into a lifelong passion after apprenticing with two skilled jewelers in New Mexico. In 2000, I officially launched my small business, bringing my vision to life. Along the way, I pursued my Graduate Gemologist degree at GIA, further honing my skills to better serve my customers.

At Autumn Designs, I specialize in creating handcrafted jewelry using high-quality materials like sterling silver and 14k gold. My goal is to design pieces that are not only visually stunning but also crafted to last a lifetime. Whenever possible, I choose recycled metals and incorporate environmentally friendly practices into my work, knowing that sustainable choices are key to preserving the beauty around us.

Living near the coast in Southern Maine, I’m constantly inspired by the natural world. Whether it’s the colors of the ocean, the textures of the land, or the changing seasons, the beauty of nature influences every piece I create. 

What brings me the most joy is knowing that my creations become part of my customers’ everyday lives. It’s incredibly rewarding when someone tells me they wear one of my pieces every day. For me, that’s the greatest compliment and a reminder of why I do what I do.
